My name is Marilù. I grew up under the sun of Nice and anchored my boat in London, where my desk is always covered in ink, jars of watercolour, and colourful sketches.

 

I enjoy capturing quick, fleeting moments that feel like tiny adventures : from children absorbed in a game of marbles to the quiet magic of summer holidays in the south of France. My work explores these simple, meaningful moments of everyday life. Illustration is my way of pressing pause on them before they slip away.

 

My universe blends nostalgia, cinema, and the poetry of the ordinary, with a touch of humour, drifting between the spontaneity and playfulness of childhood, the films of the 1960s, and the sun-soaked Riviera. It is driven by a love of colour, light, and lively scenes filled with movement and storytelling.

 

I work primarily in children’s illustration, as well as lifestyle and editorial illustration, creating images that celebrate spontaneity, tenderness, and the beauty of shared moments.
